Dear Parish Families of Our Lady of Perpetual Help,
I am excited to announce that I will be receiving the sacrament of Holy Orders. On Saturday, May 29th at 9 a.m., I will be ordained a transitional deacon at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. This is the final step before my ordination to the priesthood which, God willing, will happen on June 2022.
The past six years of formation at St. John’s Seminary has been quite a journey. I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and kind words. Your support makes all the difference in promoting vocations. It is hard to believe that my journey as a seminarian is coming to an end, and that my journey as a priest will soon begin.
I would love to invite all of you to my ordination, but this will be difficult due to the current situation with the pandemic. Thankfully, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will be live-streaming the ordination. It would be an honor if you could join me virtually for my sacrament. Queridas Familias de la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro,
Estoy contento de anunciar que recibiré el sacramento de las órdenes sagradas. El sábado, 29 de mayo a las 9 de la mañana, voy a ser ordenado diácono en transición al sacerdocio en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Los Ángeles. Este es el paso final antes de mi ordenación al sacerdocio que, si Dios quiere, ocurrirá en junio de 2022.
Los seis años de formación en el Seminario de San Juan ha sido un gran recorrido. Quiero agradecer a todos ustedes con todo mi corazón por sus oraciones y palabras amables. Su apoyo ayuda a promover las vocaciones. Es difícil creer que mi travesía como seminarista terminará pronto, y que mi travesía como sacerdote comenzará pronto.
Me encantaría invitar a todos ustedes a mi ordenación, pero esto será difícil debido a la situación de la pandemia. Afortunadamente, la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles va a hacer una transmisión en vivo de la ordenación. Sería un honor si ustedes pudieran acompañarme virtualmente a mi sacramento.
